Name: Freyja Piper (And although her name is pronounced FREY-ah, those close to her might call her Free as a nickname.)
Alias: The Phantom

Gender: Female (if she wishes, can be mistaken for male. Androgynous.)

League: G League

Power: Telekinesis is the basic term for her powers. She is able to communicate mind-to-mind as well, as an outlink of being able to manipulate objects, and therefore people, with her mind. She cannot do mind control, but if she puts effort into it, she can listen to people's thoughts, as well as animals. If she gets angry or upset her powers tend to react with her emotions, doing things like bending objects in half or crushing them. The easiest way to explain her power is through an object like a cube. She can throw and levitate the cube, drop it on someone, use it to throw herself through the air (by pushing her mass against its mass) and crush or shatter it. Too much effort (ex. throwing things that are extremely heavy, throwing up large telekinetic barriers, etc) will cause her to possibly damage her brain, since her powers are adapted from her brain developing an extra area due to the S gene. Overexhertion can be gauged depending on her nose bleeding or if she complains of a headache.

She has recently been practicing toying with brains. By reading brain anatomy textbooks and psychology books, Freyja has started piecing together how to put together extreme mental warfare, which might be more useful than her actual physical warfare in many senses. She's still uneasy about mentally hurting others, but if it comes down to it she will use what she can use to destroy anyone.

Weapon of choice (if any): She uses no weapons. Well...she's kind of a weapon herself. And she may have a gun stored somewhere in her place. Maybe.

Weaknesses: Distrusting, paranoid, suspicious, cold, brutal, antisocial ...( okay you get the picture she's going to punch me if I keep going. )


Likes: Being alone, birds like falcons or hawks, Les Miserables, theater, flowers, psychology, books, music (all music, and even has a soft spot for rap) , playing piano
Dislikes: headaches, people in general

Personality: Extremely cynical, Freyja doesn't rely on others, because she feels like they're going to stab her in the back at any second. Some might call her attitude paranoid, but she feels justified in living alone and avoiding contact with others. She is dark and gloomy by nature, and sometimes poetic by habit of listening to classical music and theater that goes on below her home. She is prone to angry brooding. However, she has very strong motivations for standing up against Holly's league of villains, viewing them as lawless assholes who need to be stopped for the sake of them not getting into power. Freyja is actually against a great deal of violence, and will probably not attack anyone unless she is threatened heavily. Her extremely untrusting nature makes her difficult to get along with, especially since she constantly questions the motives of everyone, even herself. Hidden under it all, Freyja does want someone to talk to, to maybe trust, but that kind of person is not someone Freyja trusts, and she disregards it constantly and remains brooding, aloof, and cruel.

Background: Freyja had a happy family for the first five or years of her life. Her mother became extremely ill at that time and was unable to recover. She died from the illness and Freyja barely had time to recover from it before her father remarried in order to give Freyja a mother figure. The woman, however, probably would be considered a bit of a gold digger and didn't quite like Free, whose features were a strong blend of her parents (though she favored her mother) and pushed her aside for the child she had with Freyja's father. The older Freyja got, the more abusive their relationship became, though the subtle, verbal assault that belittled Free every day of her life eventually built up Freyja into an untrusting asshole who spent most of her time brooding in her room listening to music or playing piano. Freyja's powers came into being early--at age 16--because of a particularly nasty confrontation with her step-mother. The abuse had finally reached the point where the step-mother hit Freyja, and in brutal, extremely just retaliation Freyja struck her with a psychic blow that snapped the woman's neck without effort. Though she was satisfied by the action, at the same time she was horrified. She ran away from home, finally completely and totally alienated from the world. She moved to an attic floor in a huge theater, making the place essentially her nest. She lives among falcons and pigeons and through the birds she got images of the outside world when she refused to leave her hideout. Freyja does not exactly know that she's got the S Gene, because she didn't go to the doctor, but she's spent the last four years honing her powers in private. She created the alias The Phantom in order to use them in the world. Once she got word of the Leagues she immediately disregarded them, but after hearing more about Holly's league and their actions decided she'd stand up against them and help Grey, although her openness with them or her willingness to be part of a team will need a great deal of coaxing and work. She does not often venture from her home, but she will often gender flip on a whim, since she find some places easier to access as a boy and some easier as a girl.

Freyja has since befriended Claire and the two are now roommates, so she has left her theater hideaway.

Some intel on her hero attire:

Freyja has upgraded herself quite a bit. She found her previous costume lacking, so digging around in the theater storage provides several slabs of materials she could work with. Using her powers and some skills she picked up from living on her own, Freyja bent the metals used for the arm guard and chest plate and thigh pieces to fit her perfectly, spray painted the colors on, and found some stark white fabric to use as her leggings. She also wears an undershirt that I think is black, and some simple knee guards. She found a sort of ski mask and reinforced the top with metals, and implanted sunglass shades into the eye slots to disguise herself more fully. She patched over some of the fabric so it all matched. It's a little rough but it looks pretty decent, or at least she thinks so.
